Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Cromwell, CT is seeking a Security Guard to protect the campus, residents, and staff. You will monitor vehicles, patrol buildings and grounds, and respond to emergencies during the security shift.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, two years of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and first aid certification. English communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential for working with residents and team members.

Qualifications

• High school education and two years security or related experience.
• First aid certification and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate with staff and residents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with the elderly and team.
• Must follow written and oral directions and adapt to changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency call system and notify on-call personnel when necessary.
• In emergencies, call 911 and coordinate with responding personnel.
• Inspect and secure security equipment, perform campus patrols, and secure exterior doors.
• Monitor vehicle traffic and enforce campus traffic policies.
• Maintain familiarity with campus layout and emergency systems; record incidents and submit reports.
• Provide maintenance/housekeeping services as directed during emergencies; provide non-emergency resident services as needed.
