SLAC seeks a Class and Event Scheduling Specialist for a 2-year fixed-term role to manage complex scheduling across courses and events, ensuring optimal use of classrooms and spaces. Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of scheduling practices and university policies.
• Ability to analyze scheduling conflicts and provide practical resolutions.
• Experience consulting with schools, departments, faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Administer academic class and event scheduling, evaluate requests, assign spaces, and resolve exceptions per policies.
• Interpret and apply scheduling procedures for exams, classrooms, and events with independent judgment.
• Collaborate with schools and departments to resolve conflicts involving instructional needs and space availability.
• Coordinate final examination scheduling and accommodations addressing conflicts and time needs.
• Audit and reconcile scheduling data across university systems to ensure accuracy.
• Serve as SME for scheduling systems (25Live, Coursedog, PeopleSoft) and coordinate enhancements.
• Support onboarding of additional reservable spaces and promote platform adoption.
• Recommend process improvements to increase scheduling efficiency and data quality.
• Provide guidance on policies and system functionality in cross-functional discussions.
