Job summary

LONGVIEW FARM ELEMENTARY in Lees Summit, MO is seeking a Resource Aide to support the instructional process and student safety in non-classroom settings. This hourly role reports to the Principal and helps maintain playground safety, handles incident reporting, and assists staff with daily tasks.

Responsibilities include monitoring student behavior, communicating safety guidelines, and providing coverage for other staff as needed while supporting a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or required.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance required.
• Experience in school support roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and welfare of students during non-classroom activities.
• Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Communicate safety policies and consequences to staff and visitors.
• Prepare incident reports and activity records for reference.
• Provide coverage for other classified staff as needed.
• Refer incidents to appropriate site personnel for follow-up.
