Job summary

HAZEL GROVE ELEMENTARY in Lees Summit, MO is seeking a Resource Aide for the 2026-27 school year. The role supports safety and welfare during non-classroom activities, reporting to the Principal. Work involves supervision, incident reporting, and maintaining records to aid the educational program.

The position is part-time (3 hours per day) across 171 days per year, with a pay range of $15 to $20.57 per hour. CPR/First Aid certification and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in playground maintenance to provide a safe environment.
• Communicates safety policies to students, staff and visitors.
• Intervenes in conflicts and emergencies to minimize disruption and injuries.
• Maintains files and records for compliance and reference.
• Monitors student behavior to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Participates in meetings and trainings to support job functions.
• Prepares incident reports and logs documenting activities.
• Provides material copies to teachers and staff as needed.
• Provides coverage for other staff to ensure smooth service.
• Refers incidents to site personnel for follow-up.
