Job summary

Lees Summit R-7 School District seeks a part-time Resource Aide (WLE - 3.5 hrs) at Woodland Elementary in Lees Summit, MO. The role supports the instructional process and student safety during non-classroom activities, under the principal’s supervision.

For the 2026-27 school year, the position is 171 days/year and 3.5 hours/day, with a starting date to be determined. CPR/First Aid certification is requested, and fingerprint clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Safety practices and procedures knowledge.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and relevant software.
• Ability to write observations and maintain records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist with playground maintenance to provide a safe environment.
• Communicate safety policies to students, staff and visitors.
• Intervene in potential conflicts and emergencies to minimize disruptions and injuries.
• Maintain files and records for compliance and reference.
• Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Attend meetings and trainings to stay informed on job functions.
• Prepare incident reports and activity logs.
