Job summary

The College of Idaho is seeking a dedicated Campus Safety Officer to join our team. You will patrol campus facilities, secure buildings, respond to emergencies, and enforce campus policies while working with local law enforcement as needed.

This full-time, non-exempt role operates on 10-hour shifts, with day training and essential availability for evenings and nights. You will support safety programs, incident logs, and campus events to keep our community safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

  • At least 19 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of security or law enforcement experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Current, valid driver’s license and vehicle-insurable.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship from The College of Idaho.

Responsibilities

Pay Range: $17.76 - $19.73 Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time

The College of Idaho is seeking a dedicated and proactive Campus Safety Officer to join our team in safeguarding our vibrant academic community. In this essential role, the selected candidate will ensure the overall safety and security of faculty, staff, students, and campus visitors while enforcing College policies and working closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate. The position operates on 10-hour shifts; training typically takes place during day shift, but post-training availability for evening and night shifts is essential.
