Job summary

Kripalu Center in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts is seeking a Campus Safety Associate to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. The role involves patrols, monitoring alarms, responding to incidents, and documenting actions.

You will work independently and with teams, applying Kripalu's Sacred Hospitality principles while following safety policies and training. Requires calm under pressure, clear communication, and ability to act within training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of campus safety, security, emergency response, or comparable public-facing experience.
• Ability to write clear, objective reports and maintain confidentiality.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Kripalu’s requirements.
• Current CPR/AED and first aid certification, or ability to obtain through employer training.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular, visible patrols of buildings, guest areas, parking lots, grounds, and other campus spaces.
• Monitors alarms, access-control, camera systems, and follows safety policies.
• Provides first aid and CPR/AED support within training scope and contacts emergency services when needed.
• Completes accurate incident and shift documentation before shift end and communicates handoff details.
• Welcomes guests and staff, verifies authorization, and supports access procedures.
