Job summary

Williams College is seeking Campus Safety Officers for two positions on the main campus in Williamstown, MA. Officers will patrol grounds, facilities, and residences, act as first responders, and support campus safety through calm, empathetic communication and diligent incident reporting.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Premium pay applies, with rotating overnight shifts and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and ability to obtain college background checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication with discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to perform active physical duties and work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus grounds, facilities, and residential halls to maintain high visibility and trust.
• Respond to emergencies as a first responder, de‑escalate conflicts, and assist students in distress.
• Utilize CAD and reporting tools to create timely, accurate incident logs and support dispatch operations.
