Job summary

Elgin Community College is seeking a part-time student worker to assist the Recruitment and Outreach Services team with event promotion, campus tours, greeting students, answering phones, and general office support. This role supports staff during Spring, Summer, and Fall with hours from 8am to 7pm Monday–Thursday and 8am–4pm on Fridays, with Wednesday tours 3–6pm.

The position helps promote campus events, greet visitors, and provide essential front-desk and office assistance.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one semester of classes (at least 6 semester hours) at ECC.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with technology, including typing, MS Office, and basic computer functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist recruitment with event staffing and promotion.
• Give campus tours.
• Answer phones and make calls.
