Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Athletics is seeking a Coordinator of Recreation in Pittsburgh. You will support operation of recreational programs and fitness facilities across Cohon University Center, Tepper Fitness Center, and Highmark Center.

Key duties include maintaining equipment inventory, handling service requests, and coordinating with Facilities Management and Campus Services. You will supervise student desk attendants and weight room staff, and participate in hiring using

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
• Background check and Act 153 child protection clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment inventory and report service calls.
• Place work orders and coordinate with FMCS and Director of Recreation.
• Supervise student staff; train, schedule, and approve time in Workday.
• Assist in Handshake and Workday processes for student hiring.
• Provide operational support as needed.
