Job summary

The California State University, Bakersfield campus seeks a Campus Rec Business Operations Analyst to manage the department’s budget and accounting functions on-site. You will handle routine and complex fiscal analysis, prepare reports, process transactions, and ensure compliance across accounts.

You will also support payroll auditing, procurement coordination, travel processing, and personnel paperwork while supervising student staff and assisting with departmental projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training with two years’ admin work involving budget analysis.
• Knowledge of financial, budgetary, and accounting principles.
• Ability to interpret and apply CSU/campus policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day budget and accounting operations for the department’s ~$12M budget.
• Prepare quarterly budget reports and year-end schedules.
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and track purchases and renewals.
• Coordinate payroll auditing, procurement, travel, and personnel paperwork.
