Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard its Richardson/Plano campus. You will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and support safety operations in a dynamic health-care environment.

No prior experience required; a valid driver's license, background check, and successful drug screen are mandatory. Shifts include day and evening hours to cover campus needs.

Qualifications

• Background check required
• Must be able to provide credible testimony in court
• Must pass a thorough background investigation and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus buildings and grounds by foot and vehicle to identify safety hazards and security issues.
• Provide emergency medical first aid or coordinate EMS when needed.
• Support campus safety and crime prevention efforts and issue reports as required.
• Process found property and write incident reports.
• Provide security escorts as needed to UT Southwestern community.
• Respond to alarms and assist in testing emergency notification devices.
• Manage traffic and crowd control during events.
• Lock/unlock buildings and assist with access control.
