Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Public Safety Officer (PSO) for campus security and safety in Dallas. Start pay is $20.00 per hour with additional shift differential for nights and weekends, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, PTO, and uniforms provided at no cost.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. No prior experience required; background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a University owned/leased vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds by foot and vehicle to check for fires, hazards, and security issues.
• Provide emergency medical first aid and request related services as needed.
• Support the campus safety mission and report irregularities, emergencies or suspicious activity.
• Respond to alarms and assist in testing emergency notification devices.
