This full‑time role requires excellent communication, strong judgment under pressure, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A probationary period follows commission, with career growth through specialized training and service across UT Southwestern

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TCOLE Basic Peace Officer Course and exam passed.
• 60 college hours preferred.
• Must meet age, physical, mental, and educational standards.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce university policies and state laws.
• Respond to emergencies and protect campus community.
• Investigate incidents and file detailed reports.
• Make arrests with or without warrants as authorized.
• Provide testimony in court as needed.
• Maintain public safety across UT Southwestern campuses.
