UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Public Safety Officer for the Las Colinas area. The role involves patrols on foot and vehicle, general building security, and reporting safety concerns to support the campus safety mission.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (or vocational training). No prior experience is required, but candidates must pass a background check and a drug screen, and be able to testify in court if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or vocational training required.
• No experience required.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.
• Must be able to provide credible testimony in a court of law.
• All offers contingent upon a negative drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Patrols buildings and grounds by foot and vehicle to ensure safety and security and report irregularities.
• Provide emergency medical first aid as needed.
• Support crime prevention and campus safety mission.
• Process found property and write reports.
• Provide security escort services as needed.
• Respond to alarms and assist with testing emergency notification devices.
• Maintain traffic and crowd control for events.
• Lock and unlock campus buildings and work areas.
• Offer customer service to the UT Southwestern community on safety-related issues.
• Assist police and fire personnel as needed.
• Participate in ongoing job-related training and training others as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
