Job summary

Indiana University Public Safety's IU Police Department seeks a Cadet for non-sworn duties including radio dispatch, building and event security, and special assignments that require IUPD presence. Cadets work with faculty, staff, students and visitors, keeping the department informed on developments and upholding university policy.

Applicants must be a current full-time IU student with a 2.5 GPA, have a valid driver's license, and be at least 21 by graduation.

• Valid drivers license required.
• Must be 21 years old upon graduation.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-law enforcement duties for the IU Police Department, including radio dispatch duties and security assignments for buildings and events.
• Coordinate with colleagues and brief on daily situational developments; advise department as appropriate.
• Enforce university policy and report suspicious activity, coordinating with sworn officers as needed.
