Job summary

Student Quarters seeks a General Manager to oversee an apartment community on-site, directing staff, budgeting, leasing, and resident services. You will lead personnel, set strategic plans, manage finances, and drive occupancy and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a minimum of two years in property management, familiarity with leasing practices, and strong communication abilities to foster a positive living environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of property management experience required or highly preferred.
• Entrata Software knowledge is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is highly preferred.
• A college degree or extensive experience in property management is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work seven days a week and overtime when requested.
• Travel may be required for training and company functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-quality on-site staff through recruitment, training, coaching and development programs.
• Document employee evaluations including performance reviews and corrective action where needed.
• Provide training and motivation to leasing staff and conduct group sessions as needed.
• Direct the turn process per company standards.
• Oversee leasing, showings, and move-ins to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets/forecasts and communicate financial data to leadership.
• Monitor rent collections and ensure compliance with statutes.
• Maintain excellent customer service and resident retention programs.
• Perform property inspections and manage risk and upkeep of office, clubhouse, and buildings.
