Williams College is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead the planning, design, and construction program across campus. You will oversee budgets, contracts, and project delivery, ensuring successful integration of new and renovation projects with campus operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering or architecture) or related to construction or project management; advanced degree desirable.
• Ten years of direct experience in planning, design and management of major capital construction projects, including LEED certified buildings.
• Familiarity with high performance building and landscape design, construction and standards.
• Knowledge of utility systems, energy efficient building systems, and energy conservation best practices.
• Experience with developing and implementing long-range capital and renewal programs in higher education or similar setting.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills with 5+ years managing a team of project management professionals.
• Proficiency with PM software and Microsoft Suite; knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and oversight of the capital design and construction program to meet institutional needs.
• Facilitate development of design guidance and construction management processes to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Supervise and mentor Project Management staff and manage risk and safety compliance.
• Consult with senior leadership on strategic planning for capital projects.
• Build partnerships with design and construction partners to achieve project goals and ensure quality outcomes.
• Coordinate with Facilities Operations to integrate operational requirements into renewal and new capital projects.
• Engage with stakeholders to develop resources and governance for design and construction standards.
