Job summary

Williams College in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts seeks a Building Systems Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of MEP and infrastructure projects across the historic campus, from planning and budgeting through design, construction and closeout.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in MEP project management (5+ preferred), and is proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal training/experience.
• 2+ years in project management/construction/design/engineering focusing on MEP systems; 5+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office Professional, and MS Project.
• Familiarity with building codes, materials, and design/construction methodologies.
• Strong contract administration, risk mitigation, and budgeting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to navigate interdepartmental dynamics and negotiate solutions.
• LEED AP credential is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Budgeting: develop scopes, timelines and budgets; coordinate external architects and engineers.
• Execution & Contract Administration: supervise contractors; manage scheduling, cost control, inspections, permits, and hand-off to operations.
