Job summary

Williams College seeks a Director of Project Management to lead the capital design and construction program, align with the college’s strategic plan, and manage major renewal projects on campus.

The role reports to the AVP for Campus Planning and Operations and collaborates with Facilities Operations and Sustainability teams to ensure timely, on-budget delivery and seamless turnover to campus operations.

Qualifications

• Ten years of direct experience in planning, design, and management of major capital construction projects.
• LEED certified building knowledge and experience.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a project management team.
• Experience in higher education capital programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the capital design and construction program.
• Manage budgets, cost estimating, and contracts for major projects.
• Coordinate bids, vendor relations, and project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, sustainability standards, and safety regulations.
• Mentor staff and develop long-range renewal plans.
