Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed at Worcester State College is seeking a dedicated Prep Cook for our campus dining operation in Worcester, MA. This full-time role supports production, serves customers, and upholds food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 1–2 years of bulk prep experience, a Monday–Saturday schedule (8:00 am–4:00 pm), and a commitment to quality. Competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of bulk prep experience is required.
• Experience following HACCP guidelines and food safety standards.
• Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment per department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule from the Chef and prep items per production sheets.
• Follow recipes and production standards to ensure quality and portions.
• Operate and clean equipment after use and store food items with proper labeling and dating.
• Assist customers and serve at multiple stations with efficient, friendly service.
• Complete required documentation, logs, and HACCP records as required.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and company policies.
