Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed seeks a Catering Prep Cook to prepare and serve meals on campus, following approved recipes and daily production sheets. You will handle food safety, maintain logs, and ensure high-quality serving temperatures while assisting customers with a friendly approach.

The role accepts both full-time and part-time commitments on a university campus, with an emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and adherence to health and safety standards. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Catering experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare items according to recipes and production sheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items on production sheets following quantities and recipes.
• Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste logs.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy, following HACCP guidelines.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and supports team during service.
