The Memorial Union Kitchen at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a cook to join our team. The role supports other Cooks and Food Service Supervisors with general kitchen tasks and emphasizes developing culinary skills. Previous food preparation experience is required and growth opportunities are available.

Work hours are Tues–Sat, 10:00am–6:00pm, with overtime as needed. Compensation includes weekend/night differentials and strong benefits.

Formación

• Previous food preparation experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and non-routine food preparation for campus events, including catered events and retail prep.
• Focus on cold food preparation such as sandwiches and salads (garde manger-style).
• Clean, inspect, and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas; ensure safety standards are followed.
• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide information on food preparation.
