Job summary

Point Loma Nazarene University is seeking a skilled and service-oriented Plumber to support campus facilities through maintenance, repair, and construction projects. This role ensures safe, efficient plumbing systems across the university while delivering excellent service to the campus community in a mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in commercial plumbing, knowledge of codes, and the ability to manage multiple work orders with a customer-service

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Journeyman license or Backflow Certification preferred.
• Familiar with institutional plumbing fixtures maintenance.
• Ability to analyze needs and procure parts with minimal direction.
• Valid CA driver's license with clean record.
• Commitment to service, teamwork, and PLNU community values.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair plumbing across campus facilities.
• Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions, including boilers and lab piping.
• Provide labor and material estimates; track hours and costs.
• Collaborate with other trades on renovations and projects.
• Respond to emergencies with overtime pay as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
