Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and/or commercial plumbing systems.
• Experience with backflow prevention devices testing and program administration.
• Ability to use a CMMS to document work activities and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems including domestic water systems, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage systems, piping systems, fixtures, valves, pumps, and related plumbing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on plumbing systems and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and standards.
• Perform testing, inspection, certification, maintenance, and repair of backflow prevention devices and support the administration of the University’s backflow prevention program.
• Troubleshoot and support plumbing-related controls, pumps, sensors, monitoring systems, and associated building systems to maintain safe and reliable operation.
• Document work performed, labor, materials, asset information, inspection records, and testing and certification activities within the CMMS; assist with identifying recurring issues and planning material requirements.
• Provide customer service and emergency response support; participate in an on-call rotation as assigned.
