Job summary

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, seeks a Parking Technician to support Police Services Center and daily campus parking operations. Under supervision, you will patrol lots, issue citations, collect fees, assist visitors, and help with events.

The position is full-time, on campus, with a hourly rate of $15.85. A high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience are required; prior parking or customer-service experience is preferred. A background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol parking lots and structures; report maintenance and signage needs and issue citations.
• Operate cash register to calculate and collect parking fees; reconcile cash drawer.
• Assist staff, faculty, students and visitors with directions and information on parking policies.
• Collect monies from meters and deliver to business office for receipt.
• Support events by directing parking and performing attendant duties.
