Job summary

NC State Transportation Department seeks a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the External Operations team on campus parking and transportation systems.

You will perform electrical and technical maintenance across 10 parking decks and 180 lots, install and repair revenue and access equipment, and support digital sign software and campus signage operations under various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency or demonstrated competencies to perform the work.
• Some positions may require special licenses or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and technical maintenance, repair and installation of the parking system.
• Maintain and repair the university-wide gate system.
• Maintain LPR (License Plate Recognition) system and cameras.
• Maintain revenue equipment and parking access equipment.
• Operate and maintain digital sign creation software and equipment.
• Clean and maintain parking lots and decks.
• Identify and inform supervisor of potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain Wolfline Bus Shelters and painted spaces.
• Participate in on-call program and adverse weather duties.
