Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance services for residence halls, apartments, and fraternity/sorority houses. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across campus.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and considerable knowledge of the electrical trade, as well as a valid North Carolina driver’s license. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment and climbing ladders.
