Job summary

North Carolina State University Transportation Department in Raleigh, NC seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee electrical and technical maintenance of 10 parking decks and 180+ lots across campus. The role requires hands-on maintenance and operation of parking equipment and signage.

The position is full-time, with a schedule 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break. Overtime may be required and adverse weather duties are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some roles may require licenses or certifications.
• Experience with electrical components and parking equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and technical maintenance of the parking system and components.
• Operate and maintain parking signage and lot/deck maintenance; manage digital sign software.
• Maintain lighting for parking decks and perform repairs on revenue equipment.
• Be on-call and participate in adverse weather duties.
• Inspections of equipment and reporting issues to supervisor.
