Job summary

NC State University Transportation is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to handle electrical and technical maintenance for parking decks and hundreds of lots across the campus in Raleigh. The role includes maintaining gate systems, LPR cameras, and revenue equipment, with weekend work possible based on needs.

A valid NC driver’s license is required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated competencies to perform the work.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Experience with parking equipment control software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and technical systems for parking decks and lots.
• Repair and install parking access equipment and related control systems.
• Operate signage and lane control software; manage deck lighting and traffic flow.
• Be on-call and respond to adverse weather and emergency events as required.
