Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk long distances in varying weather.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and medical exam.
• Ability to de-escalate conflict and provide quality customer service.
• Experience with data entry and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Comply with rules and procedures of UAH Parking Services Department and University of Alabama in Huntsville.
• Interprets and explains Parking Regulations to the public and ensures consistent management.
• Patrols parking lots, garages, and streets, enforcing the UAH Parking Rules and Regulations.
• Issues citations for parking violations.
• Operating knowledge of a body camera, two-way radio, portable tablet, and printer.
• Provide parking management in designated campus areas and inspect for matching decals and hang tags.
• Regular communication with Parking Services concerning daily logs, paperwork, or supporting information regarding citations.
• Responds promptly and professionally to parking-related requests for assistance and maintenance.
• Engages with drivers to provide information and guidance.
• Utilizes positive and professional communication techniques when interacting with the public.
• Articulates directional information to visitors, campus community, and general public.
• Upholds the Parking Services Calendar of Events Parking Schedule.
• Collaborates with Parking Services Office during peak operating times.
• Provide customer service, administrative, and clerical support when needed.
