Responsibilities

• Patrols parking lots, garages, and streets, enforcing the UAH Parking Rules and Regulations.
• Issues citations for parking violations.
• Operating knowledge of a body camera, two-way radio, portable tablet, and printer.
• Provide parking management in designated campus areas and inspect for matching decals and hang tags.
• Regular communication with Parking Services concerning daily logs, paperwork, or supporting information regarding citations.
• Responds promptly and professionally to parking-related requests for assistance and maintenance.
• Engages with drivers to provide information and guidance.
• Utilizes positive and professional communication techniques when interacting with the public.
• Articulates directional information to visitors, campus community, and general public.
• Upholds the Parking Services Calendar of Events Parking Schedule.
• Collaborates with Parking Services Office during peak operating times.
• Provide customer service, administrative, and clerical support when needed.

• Ability to walk great distances in sometimes extreme weather and climate conditions.
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint background check and investigation.
• Ability to pass a medical physical exam.
• Ability to de-escalate conflict.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Experience with data entry, Microsoft Office, Word, spreadsheets, and Excel.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in parking enforcement is desired.
• Previous experience in a university or higher education setting is preferred.
