Job summary

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Campus Fellows to join the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign and support Democratic candidates across Texas. Fellows will lead campus volunteer and voter contact infrastructure, mobilize youth voters, and gain hands-on experience with campaign systems and organizing practices.

The role runs Sept 8 through Nov 6, 2026, at 15 hours per week, with potential longer days near Election Day.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at a Texas College or University for the Fall 2027 semester.
  • Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission and our organizational values, goals, and objectives.
  • Task and time management skills.
  • Self-starter who shows strong initiative.
  • Strong effective verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Access to a phone and laptop computer.
  • Comfortable working and interacting with students and staff in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Organize voter contact events on campus with manager support.
  • Capacity building by recruiting volunteers through campus networks.
  • Represent the campaign on campus to supporters, volunteers, and voters.
  • Maintain data integrity with timely data entry of voter contact events.
  • Develop creative on-campus organizing tactics for digital and in-person outreach.
  • Report results regularly, with emphasis on GOTV data.
