Job summary

Bay Path University in East Longmeadow is seeking a part-time Health Science Center Business Assistant to support IT, administrative tasks, and general office operations during assigned weekdays when classes are in session.

The role involves front-line customer service, classroom setup, and coordination with ITS and staff to ensure smooth campus operation. Evening and weekend availability is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Strong communication and office skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot IT hardware and presentation equipment.
• Willing to drive to Bay Path campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the daily operations of the HSC.
• Receive and transfer telephone calls on the HSC’s main switchboard efficiently and accurately.
• Set up computers and technology in classrooms before each class and ensure equipment is operational.
• Break down technology and presentation setups and secure equipment at day’s end.
• Provide IT assistance as needed during shifts and assist visitors with inquiries.
• Greet visitors in a friendly, professional manner and refer students to resources as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of HSC facility operations and assist with supervision across locations.
• Coordinate with ITS and Campus Public Safety as required and report facility issues promptly.
