Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of Operations to oversee campus operations across two sites, ensuring operational excellence in front office, SIS, nutrition, transportation, health services, facilities and enrollment. Bachelor’s degree required; 8+ direct reports; strong leadership and people management essential.

The APO will drive retention, enrollment growth and adherence to ADA standards while coordinating with school leadership and HQ to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and developing others to achieve ambitious results.
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to support non-instructional operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 85% Ops Staff Retention and coach team members through regular check-ins and feedback.
• Lead student recruitment and onboarding efforts to ensure strong enrollment for academy and college prep programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state ADA guidance and monitor attendance policies with data-driven adjustments.
• Oversee front office operations, transportation, child nutrition, and facilities to deliver safe, efficient campus services.
• Directly coach and mentor operations staff and coordinators to meet organizational goals.
