Family Service of Rhode Island Inc seeks a qualified School Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. The Nurse will provide healthcare services to students and staff, manage health needs, respond to emergencies, and promote wellness in a school environment.

The role requires a BSN and RI RN license, experience in residential healthcare or care management, and ability to coordinate individualized care plans, health screenings, and confidential documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and RI RN license.
• Experience in residential healthcare settings or care management is preferred.
• Experience with children, adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff.
• Administer medications and monitor chronic conditions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and emergency action plans.
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.).
• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Coordinate and link students to primary care services and labs.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers and healthcare providers.
