Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking a part-time Multimedia Technician to provide on-site AV support and installation across campuses in Dayton, OH. The role emphasizes customer service during events and interactive learning sessions, with an hourly rate of $23.84 and up to 28 hours per week.

Responsibilities include supporting conferencing platforms, maintaining AV gear, and documenting work and inventory. The position is future-oriented with benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a related technical field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in AV or related field.
• Knowledge of sophisticated computer controlled routing systems and AV hardware.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop rapid solutions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to lift 20 lbs overhead.
• Ability to install and relocate equipment in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide audio-visual equipment setup and technical support for academic and non-academic events.
• Support online conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, WebEx) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the AV and video conferencing systems campus-wide.
• Accurate documentation of work requests and inventory in software systems.
• Demonstrate neat appearance, dependability, and strong customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
