Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a Campus Staff Minister to lead spiritual growth and campus renewal across colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region. This full-time role calls for modeling a life of faith, developing student and faculty leaders, and expanding witnessing communities on diverse campuses.

• Spiritual growth: pursue a vibrant relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, and worship; develop self-leadership and relational integrity; embrace Scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes.
• Campus leadership: communicate and model InterVarsity’s vision to transform campuses; lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences; set annual goals for growth and leadership development.
• Program planning: build and align ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures to close the gap between current reality and aspirational goals.
• Diversity and outreach: mobilize students and faculty to engage their networks and start new missional communities; gather diverse groups to advance the campus mission.

Responsibilities

• Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through Scripture, prayer, and worship, both individually and in community.
• Develop self-leadership (self-awareness, self-management, relational integrity, resiliency).
• Embrace Scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes.
• Communicate and model InterVarsity’s vision to see students and faculty transformed and campuses renewed.
• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences.
• Set annual goals through prayer, research and reflection with your teams for growth.
• Create ministry plans, programs, and structures to close the gap between current reality and aspirational goals.
• Build leadership teams who trust and partner well with you and demonstrate vitality and mission alignment.
• Develop and execute plans to achieve annual goals and adapt as needed.
• Increase momentum by aligning programs, conferences and teams with the mission.
• Mobilize students and faculty to engage networks and start new missional communities.
• Supervise Ministry Interns and Campus Ministry Interns as delegated.
• Gather, invite, and develop diverse groups of students and faculty to advance the mission on campus.
