Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA seeks a Campus Staff Minister to plant and nurture witnessing communities on college campuses in the Mid-Atlantic, including DC, MD, DE, and eastern PA. You will lead students and faculty, model InterVarsity’s vision, and partner with churches and donors to resource ministry.

The role emphasizes spiritual growth, leadership development, and collaboration with national staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or a community college
• Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software

Responsibilities

• Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through Scripture, prayer, and worship, both individually and in community
• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences
• Develop and execute ministry plans and goals with teams (students, faculty, and staff)
• Mobilize students and faculty to engage their relational networks with the gospel and to start new witnessing communities
• Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by your supervisor
• Build leadership teams who trust and partner well with you and who demonstrate spiritual vitality, relational health, and mission alignment
