Job summary

Middlebury College is seeking a motivated student to support the Marketing and Communications department. You will create content, manage social media, design promotional materials, and help promote campus programs and events to students.

You will gain hands-on experience in content creation, digital media, and analytics while collaborating with faculty, staff, and campus partners. This role is on campus with flexible hours and a focus on learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Middlebury student in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, media, or related fields.
• Ability to create engaging content for social media and digital platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Create and publish content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other communication channels.
• Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns for programs, services, and events.
• Design promotional materials, including digital graphics, flyers, posters, and presentations using approved branding standards.
• Capture and edit photos and videos to support marketing and storytelling initiatives.
• Support event promotion before, during, and after campus events through digital and in-person outreach.
• Monitor social media engagement and marketing analytics to assess campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to gather content and promote initiatives.
• Maintain marketing calendars, content libraries, and other communication resources.
