Job summary

Indiana University Campus Facility Services is seeking a skilled trades technician to maintain and repair campus buildings, equipment, and systems. You will diagnose issues, follow blueprints, and perform electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to keep facilities safe and functional.

Responsibilities include leading junior staff on projects, managing supplies, and operating university vehicles. Requires a high school diploma and 5 years of journey-level experience or an approved apprenticeship

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSED).
• 5 years verifiable journey-level experience or a certificate in a DOL-apprenticed trade (electrical/plumbing/HVAC/carpentry).
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by IU on hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance on campus buildings, equipment and systems.
• Diagnose problems and apply code-based corrective solutions using manuals and blueprints.
• Install, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
• Lead other maintenance staff on projects when required and manage parts inventory.
• Drive university vehicles and support snow removal as needed.
