Job summary

University of Indianapolis is seeking a skilled MEP Technician to join our Facilities Management team on a 65-acre campus. This hands-on role covers mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across academic buildings, residence halls, and athletic facilities, offering growth and diverse daily challenges.

The position features a daytime schedule, with after-hours on-call rotation. A strong background in one or more trades, and EPA 608 certification, are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in building or facilities trades.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing; willing to work across all three.
• EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification (Universal preferred).
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC and mechanical systems campus-wide.
• Inspect electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, and controls.
• Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance across buildings.
• Collaborate with campus staff and respond to on-call rotation.
