Job summary

Milton Academy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general repairs and preventive maintenance across all Academy properties. You will work with the Facilities Services team to troubleshoot small equipment, support student and staff environments, and ensure safe, reliable campus operations.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience or training.
• Preferred: 5 years of related experience or training.
• Working knowledge of small equipment and ability to troubleshoot on-site.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs of physical plant buildings and grounds (sheetrock, plastering, painting, carpentry, glass, repairs).
• Assists in preventative maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment.
• Advise supervisor on preventive maintenance inspections and actions.
• Conducts daily/weekly campus tours of mechanical spaces and grounds to identify deficiencies.
• Responds to service calls for HVAC, plumbing, lighting, carpentry and painting duties; moves items safely.
• Communicates work status and updates to supervisor; documents work orders.
• Keeps up with safety/code changes; seeks continuing education.
• Supports projects with materials lists and technical input; may assist vendors.
