Job summary

Milton Academy, located eight miles south of Boston, seeks a Maintenance Technician to support safe and reliable campus operations. The role covers general repairs, preventive maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical systems across Academy properties.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a collaborative Facilities Services team environment with students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience repairing small equipment and understanding repair vs replacement.
• Preferred: 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/plumbing basics.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs of buildings and grounds (drywall, painting, carpentry, glass repairs).
• Supports preventive maintenance on mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Reports preventive actions to supervisor and suggests renovations.
• Conducts campus tours to identify deficiencies.
• Responds to service calls for HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general carpentry tasks.
