Job summary

Minnesota North College is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for the Hibbing Campus. This full-time role performs light maintenance, equipment repairs, housekeeping, grounds care, and event setup to support campus operations.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of flooring, cleaners, basic tools, and the physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs. A boiler license and valid driver’s license are preferred; background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of flooring types, cleaning agents and maintenance methods.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and use basic hand tools.
• Follow oral and written instructions and keep simple records.
• Good physical health with ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance for campus buildings and grounds.
• Perform light maintenance, routine repairs and housekeeping.
• Set up for special events and assist with grounds keeping.
• Move or transport materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
