Job summary

The College is seeking a dedicated custodial staff member to perform regular cleaning and maintenance across classrooms, hallways, and offices. You will follow safety procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and assist with events on campus.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, sanitizing restrooms, and ensuring secure buildings. A high school diploma or GED is required, with CRC preferred and a valid NC driver license strongly desired.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CRC preferred.
• Some custodial/janitorial experience.
• Must lift 35–45 pounds and operate cleaning equipment.
• Valid NC driver license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, halls, toilets, and offices.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and shampoo floors; remove trash.
• Restock supplies and maintain restrooms; sanitize and safe handling of chemicals.
• Clean windows, walls, and fixtures; ensure safe access and security checks.
• Prepare facilities for classes, meetings, and events; assist with moving furniture.
