Job summary

The Logistics Specialist at the University of Kansas Lawrence campus handles centralized receiving, processing, tracking and distribution of mail and packages for research facilities.

Based full-time at the MRB loading dock and reporting to the Associate Director for Facilities Services this position serves as the primary point of contact for incoming shipments and mail services supporting research operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with four years of office experience or four years of post-secondary education.
• One year of clerical, office support, mail services, shipping/receiving, customer service, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license at time of hire and throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects and sorts all mail and inter-office mail for Research departments on the Lawrence campus.
• Stamps, processes and records outgoing mail/packages using automated postage metering systems.
