Job summary

Georgetown University on-campus is seeking a full-time Locksmith I to provide skilled locksmith services for the campus community. Responsibilities include installing, replacing, and repairing door locks and hardware, cutting keys, rekeying, and lock picking as needed.

Work is performed in response to service requests and preventive maintenance inspections under Facilities Management. Required are 1–2 years locksmithing experience, a high school diploma or GED, apprenticeship or equivalent

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of locksmithing or related trade experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship or equivalent training in locksmith trade.
• Bondable and familiar with ADA, NFPA, ANSI/BHMA standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair door locks and related hardware.
• Cut keys, rekey locks, and perform lock picking as needed.
• Conduct journey-level maintenance and repairs per industry standards.
• Respond to service requests and perform preventive maintenance inspections.
