Job summary

St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI seeks a Maintenance Specialist/Locksmith to perform locksmith services campus-wide, repair, install, and maintain locks, panic devices, and door hardware; manage a preventive maintenance program and track key inventories.

Regular hours are 6:00 am–2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with snow removal duties and on-call rotation as needed; position requires a high school diploma, 5 years’ related experience, locksmith certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of related work experience.
• Certification in a professional locksmith course.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform locksmith services campus-wide, including repair, maintenance, and installation of locks and related components.
• Recore locks, change cores, install new locks, panic bars, and door closers.
• Repair and maintain lock mechanisms and manage key inventory records.
• Maintain and install automatic door openers.
• Assist with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs as needed.
• Assist with snow removal and participate in on-call rotations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
