University of Redlands is seeking a strategic leader to manage Campus Life activities, student clubs, and orientation programs. The role drives policy, chartering, and engagement initiatives to foster belonging and student success.

Reports to the Dean of Student Campus Life and leads cross-department collaborations, budget oversight, and assessment of student life outcomes. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this on-campus role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in event planning and execution, including event development, management, and assessment.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating marketing, communications, or outreach efforts for student programs, events, or organizations.
  • Familiarity with using social media platforms and digital tools to promote programs, share information, and engage student audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate on basic content creation that aligns with institutional branding and messaging.
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, relate positively to people, and motivate others to function as a fully participative member of a team.
  • Working knowledge of student support service units on a college campus.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate descriptions and explanations of problems brought forward by individuals or student organizations, analyze, and define the problem, draw valid conclusions, and project consequences of various alternative courses of action.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and a thorough knowledge of department and campus policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret and enforce procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Campus Life Infrastructure design, implementation, and improvement for student clubs and organizations.
  • Serve as steward for student organization policy, governance standards, and operational expectations.
  • Partner with campus departments to communicate and enforce policies related to organizations, space use, and events.
  • Activate reservable spaces to bolster student life and remove barriers to co-curricular experiences.
  • Develop marketing campaigns for Campus Life and oversee 25Live publication, social media, Navigate channels, student app liaison, and divisional calendar.
  • Support programs for commuter students, civic engagement, and campus traditions.
  • Collaborate with Inclusion and Community to engage diverse clubs/organizations.
  • Expand partnership with Residence Life to increase engagement and belonging.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for Residence Life.
  • Plan and implement the annual student Impact Awards.
  • Serve on university committees related to student life, policies, and recognition ceremonies.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for recognized clubs and organizations and their advisors.
